Sancha puts a fleece lining inside a block heel ankle boot and sets the whole thing on a lug sole. That combination covers the two things that actually matter in winter: warmth inside and grip underneath. The block heel keeps it walkable and the ankle height means it goes under jeans rather than over them.
Black and dark brown, both of them deliberately plain. Black is the practical default and hides what winter pavements do to footwear. Dark brown is warmer in tone and sits better with camel, cream and mid-blue denim. Neither is trying to be a statement, which is the right call for a boot bought to be worn four or five days a week through the cold months.
Sizes run US 5 through 10 but with gaps: no 5.5 and no 9 are stocked. The chart below lists exactly what is available. This is also the lowest-priced boot in the run, sitting right on our floor. A fleece lining takes up room inside, so take the larger size if you are between two or wear thick socks.
