Margery is a long coat in plaid with a button-down front. Plaid at coat length is a commitment, the pattern is visible from across a street, which is exactly why it works: this is the layer that makes an otherwise plain outfit look like it was thought about.
Green is the only colourway and it is the more wearable end of plaid. A green ground reads autumnal rather than loud, sits with cream, camel and denim, and avoids the tourist-tartan effect that a red plaid coat can have. The button front means it can be worn closed for a defined line or open as a long layer.
Sizes run S through 3XL, which is broader than most coats offer. Because plaid is already doing the work, keep what goes underneath plain. This is also the cheapest coat in the collection by a clear margin. The chart below gives body measurements in inches.
