Ferdinande is a knee-high boot with a fur-effect lining running the full length of the shaft, not just around the foot. That distinction matters: a lining that stops at the ankle leaves the calf exposed, which is where most of the cold gets in when you are standing at a bus stop. The shaft is cut straight and the boot pulls on without laces.
Black and grey, both of them quiet. Black is the practical winter default and works with everything from jeans to a wool dress and opaque tights. Grey is softer and sits well against charcoal, cream and camel rather than competing with them. Wear either with jeans tucked in, with a midi skirt so the full shaft is visible, or under a long coat where the height of the boot closes the gap.
Sizes run US 4 through 9, which includes a US 4 that most ranges do not stock. A full-length lining takes up room inside the boot, so if you intend to wear thick socks the half size up is the better choice. The chart below gives EU and UK equivalents with the matching foot length for each available size.
