Esclarmonde is a cable knit sweater with a crew neck, and it carries nine colourways, which is unusual for cable. Most cable knits arrive in two or three safe shades because the texture is meant to be the feature. Here the raised ropes come in colours you would normally only find on a plain jumper.
Black, white, grey and khaki cover the basics. Pink, light green, yellow and purple are the four soft shades, and cable reads particularly well on pale colours because the raised pattern catches light where a dark shade swallows it. Peacock blue is the standout, a deep saturated teal that is genuinely rare in knitwear.
Sizes run S through 3XL and it sits on our price floor, which is good value for cable construction. Wear it over a collared shirt with the collar out, with straight jeans, or under a coat. The chart below gives body measurements in inches.
