Emengarde is an oversized knit sweater with an asymmetrical hem, and that hem is the reason to choose it over a plain jumper. A straight hem cuts a horizontal line at the widest point; an asymmetric one breaks that line, which is more flattering over jeans and gives an otherwise simple knit something to do.
Six colourways and a well-judged spread. Black, grey and beige are the neutrals. Navy is the cool option. Olive green is the earthy one and the pick against tan boots. Pink is the softest, and in an oversized cut it reads considered rather than sweet.
Sizes run XS through 3XL, seven sizes. Cut oversized, so take your usual size for the shape as designed rather than sizing up again. Wear it over straight jeans, with leggings, or over a collared shirt. The chart below gives body measurements in inches.
