Armentine is a chevron knit turtleneck, and the chevron is what earns it a place beside a plain roll neck. A zigzag knitted into the fabric catches light differently along each direction of the pattern, so a single-colour sweater still has movement across it rather than reading flat.
Three colourways and all of them quiet. Beige is the warmest and the most neutral. Blue is the cool option. Lilac is the standout, a soft pale purple that is genuinely uncommon in knitwear and looks considered rather than childish against grey, cream or denim.
Sizes run S through 2XL. The turtleneck covers to the chin, so it replaces a scarf under a coat. Chevron knits look best uncluttered, so skip a necklace and let the pattern carry the top half. The chart below gives body measurements in inches.
